Open year round by reservation

Nestled at an altitude of 1,700 m. in the Pyrénées Orientales (see Google Maps) in the municipality of Casteil, 25 km from Prades, the Refuge of Mariailles is at the starting point of the most beautiful hikes to the Canigou. It's also an ideal base for numerous activities: sporty hikes or family walks, MTB (240 km of marked trails), rock climbing (over 80 routes), ski touring, snowshoeing, etc.

The lodge enables you to combine sporting activity with health, culture and pleasure. Its walls display exhibitions which change as new encounters are made. The evening meals are usually based on Pyrenean traditions, often of Catalan origin. The snackbar is open until 6 PM and the fruits and vegetables are mainly organic.
Attention, from July 1st till August 31st, the forest track is forbidden in the circulation from the Randé carpark. From there, you'll have a 40-minute walk to the refuge.
The lodge is open all year round but reservations are mandatory from 15 November to 15 May. Otherwise you may find no one to answer the door. The 53 beds in the dormitories can accommodate large groups and we are at your disposal to organise your tour of the Canigou mountain range.
